Distinctive Communities, Inc. announces the luxury remodel of a Grand Bay villa in Pelican Bay is complete, says David Sturdyvin, Vice President of Distinctive Communities. The total home renovation included converting a little used formal living room space into a cozy wine bistro with a seating area that opens up to an enclosed lanai, for true indoor/outdoor living. To open up the floor plan, the kitchen was redesigned to bring a new feel and look to one of the most important rooms of the house. A wall was replaced with a vast countertop lit by pendant lights and the original island with bar height counter was replaced with a large prep island with countertop height seating. The new cabinets reach from floor to ceiling and have designed spaces for decorative glass. A dated dome ceiling was replaced with a modern style tray coffer with decorative details. In addition to updating the style of the home, Distinctive Communities, also replaced all of the windows and doors with hurricane resistant Anderson Impact Windows and Doors to assure piece of mind and safety during storm season. With interior design assistance by Vince Muller Interiors of Bonita Springs, the updated villa has been transformed from a dated villa to a tropical retreat. Sturdyvin who was involved in the original construction of the home says now is the perfect time to remodel, as building cost have seen a decline over the last year.
